New Cycling Blog: Cyclingfluorescentchic July 1, 2008

Yes, so Copenhagenchic is full of wonderful stylish cyclists in fashionable jackets and skirts, well, we  have to show them that safety consciousness is also cool and savvy.

After all, they will get run over as they won’t be seen. We are clever, cool, often wear our helmets, and like an element of danger. We weave in and out in cities and night. Our bicycles are savvy with various nightime gear, a blaze of yellow, orange, and pinks, and people who work in flourescentchic clothes can be cool as their bikes often ‘match’ with styling accessories such as ‘post office panniers and ambulance first aid boxes.

We are cyclists who had a little drama to the scene.

So I have added another blog to my list and I am reliant on people sending me some to theurbancyclist@gmail.com  (please ask permission if you can use the pic etc first though!

This may be a fun thing to do, but clearly I can’t do them all. It would be a good idea if someone invented some kind of easy to use cyclingjobs website.. I am not techy but I can do a blog!

I can’t believe I’ve done yet another podcast. Today it’s about ‘cycling through red lights’. A touchy subject lately.

Hi fellow cyclists

I’ve created ‘more cycling blogs’ (as you can see on the left).

I don’t think ‘I’m a one tracked cyclist’, my cycling interests seem to go in different directions!

I also thought that cyclists are ‘also varied’, some may enjoy bicycle poetry others may absolutely hate it, others may enjoy advocacy, but others may not be interested. Hence I thought I’d ’specialise’ in different areas.

I suppose as the end of the day, I need somewhere to ‘ramble’ about cycling. Living in Kent where it’s not exactly ‘very cycling friendly’, it’s a way for me to explode in writing!

My cycling podcast is on www.switchpod.com + click cyclepod. It has a bit of everything ‘thrown in’ - news, rants, cycling journeys, campaigning, charity cycling, cycling in dodgy areas of London.

My main areas of interest are Kent and London.
